Recording or transcription is not available
Glowbug asks for microphone and speech-recognition access only when you try voice capture. Check those permissions in the iPhone Settings app, then return to Glowbug. On-device transcription may also need Apple's language assets to finish setting up. You can always use Write instead and keep a moment without recording.
An interrupted moment appeared
If a call, a change to your headphones or speaker, app closure, or another interruption stops capture, Glowbug may preserve an interrupted moment on this iPhone. Open it to continue or review what is available, or delete it if you do not want to keep it.
Glowbug still needs to delete a recording
Your saved words can be safe even if Glowbug has not finished deleting a temporary recording. Keep Glowbug open and tap Retry audio cleanup. If the message remains, contact us without attaching the recording or transcript.
Export your data
Open Settings in Glowbug and choose Export your data. Glowbug prepares a local copy and opens the iPhone share sheet. You decide whether to save it to Files, send it to yourself, or share it another way. Treat the exported file as private family data.
Keep a copy somewhere safe
This version does not sync or back up your Moments. Glowbug cannot restore them if the app is deleted, the iPhone is lost or replaced, or its data is erased. Export your data regularly and keep the copy somewhere you trust. An export is for your records; this version cannot import it back into Glowbug.
Delete Glowbug data
Delete an individual moment from its detail view, or choose Delete your data from this iPhone in Settings to remove your saved moments, weekly reflections, photos, and unfinished moments. Your Glowbug settings stay. This cannot erase copies you previously exported or copies managed outside Glowbug.
Accounts, family sharing, and purchases
This local-first version works on one iPhone. It does not include accounts, family invitations, sharing between devices, cloud backup, subscriptions, or purchases.
Privacy or waitlist help
